      3rd Grade News November 28 - December 2 This Week’s Focus Memory - 2nd Article & Romans 10:10 Religion - This week we will cover lessons 36-39. Language Arts - See attached sheet. Spelling – Prefixes Handwriting – This week we will continue learning our lowercase cursive letters with v and z. Math - This week we will learn our 9 times facts and review all of our facts. Social Studies - This week we will start Unit 3 over geography and the way we live. I pray you had a blessed and restful Thanksgiving break.  Between now and Christmas break we will be working hard on our multiplication facts.  We will spend lots of time practicing and testing over our multiplication facts. Language Arts - We will be doing some Thanksgiving activities this week. Spelling – None Handwriting – This week we will continue learning our lowercase cursive letters with x. Math - This week we will learn about our 8 times facts. Science - This week we will finish chapter 6 over Earth and weather with a test on Monday. Language Arts - See attached sheet. Spelling – Contractions Handwriting – This week we will continue learning our lowercase cursive letters with n, m, and y. Math - This week we will learn about our 4, 6, 7, & 8 times facts. Science - This week we will finish chapter 6 over Earth and weather with a test on Friday. This week we have a field trip Monday and a half day on Wednesday.  Keep working on those multiplication facts.  We will take our first set of timed tests this week.       3rd Grade News November 7-11 This Week’s Focus Memory - The First Article and Meaning Religion - This week we continue in unit 3 over God’s gracious gifts with lessons 26-30. Language Arts - See attached sheet. Spelling – Consonant Digraphs Handwriting – This week we will review the letters we have worked on so far this year and we will practice reading cursive writing. Math - This week we will test over our 0, 1, 2, 5, and 10 multiplication facts.  Then we will start working on our other multiplication facts.  Science - This week we continue in chapter 6 over Earth and weather.
