    3rd Grade News February 26 - March 1 This Week’s Focus The time has come!  Monday the students will present their wax museums projects to the class.  They do NOT need to be dressed in their costume for this.  On Tuesday afternoon all the classes will display their boards for the school students (again costumes are NOT needed for this).  Tuesday night is Wax Museum night when students will wear their costumes and “be” their character for half an hour.  I look forward to seeing each child’s creativity in this project.   3rd Grade News February 12-16 This Week’s Focus Memory - 6th Petition of Lord’s Prayer Religion - This week we continue Unit 6 with lessons 62-65 Language Arts - See the attached sheet. Spelling – Syllables VCCCV Handwriting – This week we continue learning our cursive capital letters. Math -This week we will finish chapter 6 over area with lesson 5, review, and test on Friday. Social Studies - We finish Unit 4 over settling in the United States.  The test will be next week on Tuesday (2-20). Students will need to bring a cereal box in by Tuesday for our Valentine's party craft.  If you are a family that doesn't do cereal, please let me know I should have a few that I can bring. Wax Museum is coming up quickly.  Students will get back all the pieces that they turn into me.  It is my suggestion that your child type up and print out each piece to put onto their board. Math -This week we will begin chapter 6 over area with lessons 1-4. Social Studies - We continue Unit 4 over settling in the United States.
