Third Grade Herd

    3rd Grade News May 15 - 19 This Week’s Focus Memory - Psalm 18:2 Religion - This week we will start learning about how God makes us his witnesses with lessons 97-100. Language Arts - We will be reading through Charlotte’s Web throughout the rest of the school year.  We will answer some comprehension questions and chapter summaries together each day. Spelling – We are done with spelling for the year. Handwriting – This week we will finish up our daily practice sheets and write our letters to Mrs. Maddick in pen and cursive. Math - This week we have a test on Monday over time, volume, and mass.  We will then be studying quadrilaterals. Social Studies - This week we will continue our unit studying cultures around the world. We are getting so very close to the end of the year, but we still have things to learn.  This week's work will go into the grade book, so make sure you are still putting forth your best effort.   3rd Grade News May 8 - 12 This Week’s Focus Memory - John 6:37 & Matthew 6:15 Religion - We continue learning about the second table of the law with lessons 93-96. Language Arts - We will be working on our book reports this week.  We will be reading Charlotte’s Web as a class when those are finished. Spelling – We are done with spelling for the year. Handwriting – We will continue practicing cursive handwriting with our  daily practice sheets.  We will also write letters to Mrs. Maddick using our cursive writing. Math - This week we are working with mass.  We will complete Chapter 12 and have a review at the end of the week. Social Studies - This week we will start our unit studying cultures around the world. Last week we had a rough time with late, missing, and incomplete work.  We will still be having mostly normal classes this week and next week.  I will still expect work to get done and turned in on time.
