  3rd Grade News March 22 - 26 This Week’s Focus Memory -Titus 3:5 and How can water do such great things? Religion - We are starting unit 7 over how God comes to us through the Means of Grace. Language Arts - See attached sheet. Math - We are continuing our unit over division this week. Spelling – Homophones Handwriting – This week we finish learning our capital cursive letters. Science -We finish up our chapter on matter. I pray that your Spring Break was an enjoyable one.  We dive back into our regular schedule.  This week is the last week of the 3rd Quarter.   If your child has any missing assignments I will send them home to be completed.  These must be returned to me by Friday, March 26th. 3rd Grade News March 15 - 16 This Week’s Focus Memory -Titus 3”5 and How can water do such great things? Religion - Bible Trivia Language Arts - St. Patrick’s Day Comprehension and Reader’s Theater Math - Multiplication Escape Room Spelling – No Spelling this week! Handwriting – This week we continue learning our capital cursive letters. Science -We will be doing a states of matter activity this week. The students have received another BINGO.  We will celebrate on Tuesday with a movie, pizza, and ice cream. The memory listed for this week is actually next week’s memory.  If you get a chance over Spring Break spend some time studying it.  This would also be a great time to work on those multiplication facts and doing some reading!       3rd Grade News March 1 - 5 This Week’s Focus Memory -Mark 16:16 and What benefits does Baptism give? Religion - This week we will finish up Unit 6.  We will review on Tuesday and the test will be Thursday. Language Arts - See attached sheet Math - We will continue working on our division in chapter four this week. Spelling – Syllable Pattern CV/VC Handwriting – This week we continue learning our capital cursive letters. Science -We are switching back to Science this week.  We are starting Unit 8 over matter. I am praying you all enjoyed the pictures from Lutheran Schools Week.  We had a good time and got to celebrate the blessings that we have been given. Just a reminder that early registration for next school year ends on March 15th.  Don’t forget to  get those papers filled out and sent back to us.  I look forward to seeing all of the kids as big fourth graders next year!
