Third Grade News for April 15 - 18

3rd Grade News

April 15 - 18

This Week’s Focus
Memory – Matthew 26:28 and 1 John 1:7
Religion - Why we pray in Jesus’ name and why we pray “thy kingdom come”
and “ thy will be done”
Language Arts - No regular language arts this week.  We will do some
reviewing of grammar pieces, reading comprehension pieces, and talking
about Holy Week.
Math – We continue with division; getting into division facts.  Keep practicing
those multiplication facts!
Spelling – No Spelling this week
Handwriting – Capital upper case letters
Social Studies – We are taking a break from Social Studies while we do
our Science unit.
Science – We continue in Unit 8 over Matter.

We look forward to learning lots during our short week this week.  There will
be some review and some new material. It will be short, busy, and fun.
The students did a great job at the Spring Musical.  I was impressed with
their singing and speaking. This is such a great group of kids.
We are getting closer to getting our prize from our behavior chart.  I know
it is hard to focus and that we are tired with all the activities that are starting up.  This week I would like us to work on quick, quiet transitions between classes and following directions.  The kids are capable of doing anything they set their mind to!
We are going to Ag Day on May 1st.  I am in need of drivers for that
day.  We would need to leave the school at 8:30 that morning and we would
leave the Benton County Fairgrounds to come back around noon.  Lunch is
provided for all students and parent drivers. If you would be available to drive
please send me an e-mail or fast direct with the number of students you can
transport.

In Christ,
Mrs. Hines
