This Week’s Focus

Memory - Mark 16:16 and What benefits does Baptism give?

Religion - We finish Unit 5 about God and our prayers this week. 
We will have the unit 5 test on Thursday.

Language Arts - We will not be doing a story this week because of
Iowa Basic Skills testing.

Math - We continue learning about fractions this week in chapter 10.

Spelling – No spelling test this week because of Iowa Basic Skills testing.

Handwriting – There will not be any handwriting this week.

Social Studies - We continue Unit 4 over Settling in the United States.

A note was sent home on Friday last week about snacks during

Basic Skills testing.  Students are welcome to bring a small snack with

them each day. Chips, cookies, candy, or junk food will not be allowed. 

Please send in a healthy snack to help fuel your child’s brain through these tests.

We will be having a discussion on Monday about how we answer our

questions on our Basic Skills tests.  We will spend part of the morning practicing

filling in bubbles and then taking two very short Basic Skills tests.  Please make

sure that your child is getting to bed and getting a good breakfast each

morning to help fuel their brain for the tests this week.
