          3rd Grade News November 29 - December 3 This Week’s Focus Memory - Second Article Religion - We will go through lessons 39 through 42 this week. Language Arts - See attached sheet Spelling –Prefixes Handwriting – This week we are finishing up our lower case letters and moving on to our capital letters. Math - This week we will finish up our multiplication lessons.  We will spend the month of December working on getting those multiplication facts memorized. Social Studies - We will start Unit 3 over Geography and how it affects our lives. I pray you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving break.  We have three and a half weeks until Christmas break, with a lot of material to cover.  Please come ready to put in some work before we celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas. Language Arts - We will be doing some Thanksgiving activities this week since it is a short week. Spelling – No Spelling This Week Handwriting – This week we continue to learn how to write our lower case letters in cursive. Math - This week we will finish our introduction to our multiplication facts. Social Studies - We will start Unit 3 over Geography and how it affects our lives.       3rd Grade News November 15 - 19 This Week’s Focus Memory - First Article of the Creed Religion - This week we will finish unit 3 with a test on Friday. Language Arts - See attached sheet. Spelling – Contractions Handwriting – This week we continue to learn how to write our lower case letters in cursive. Math - This week we continue learning our multiplication facts. Science - This week we finish chapter 7 with our study of the solar system.  We will work on lesson4 and test on Thursday. Keep working on those multiplication facts.  If you need ideas for ways to study please don’t hesitate to reach out and I can share some ideas with you.  The better the students know their multiplication facts the easier it will be for the students to do division.       3rd Grade News November 8 - 12 This Week’s Focus Memory - Hebrews 11:3 and Deuteronomy 32:6 Religion - This week we will cover lessons 31 through 34. Language Arts - See attached sheet. Spelling – Consonant Digraphs Handwriting – This week we continue to learn how to write our lower case letters in cursive. Math - This week we finish our first multiplication facts unit.  We will have a test on Thursday.  Then we will continue learning our multiplication facts. Science - This week we start chapter 7 with our study of the solar system.  We will work on lessons 2 and 3.
