This Week’s Focus

Memory - Introduction and 1st Petition of the Lord’s Prayer

Religion - This week we continue Unit 5 over The Lord’s Prayer with lessons 52-55.

Language Arts - See the attached sheet.  A slight change from the purple sheet, we will be studying pronouns and their antecedents.

Spelling – Irregular Plurals

Handwriting – This week we continue learning our cursive capital letters.

Math -This week we continue learning about division with chapter four lessons 1-4.  We will also be taking timed multiplication tests on Wednesday.

Science - We continue learning about simple machines.

On Friday, a note was sent home about our upcoming Wax Museum, a school-wide project.  As outlined in the handout the work for this project will be done at home.  I will work with the class to teach them what to do for each part of the project and how it should look on their tri-fold board.  The first step is choosing a character from a fiction book that your child is interested in.  I will send home a sheet with some ideas and ask you to send it back with your child’s top three picks.  This is to ensure that students are not duplicating characters and that characters are school-appropriate.  I look forward to seeing each child’s creativity come out through this project.
