    3rd Grade News November 30 - December 4 T his Week’s Focus Memory -2nd Article and Meaning Religion - This week we start talking about Jesus Language Arts - See attached sheet Math - We are starting multiplication this week. Spelling – Consonant Digraphs Handwriting – We continue with lowercase cursive letters. Science - We continue in chapter 7 over Earth and our universe. We are back in person!  I am excited to get back to a normal routine with the students.  We will work this week at figuring out what assignments I am missing or need to be corrected from our virtual learning adventure.   3rd Grade News November 9 - 13 T his Week’s Focus Memory -1st Article of the Creed Religion - This week we continue talking about the Holy Spirit. Language Arts - See attached sheet Math - We will finish up with subtraction this week.  We will review and have a test on Thursday. Spelling – Compound Words Handwriting – We continue with lowercase cursive letters. Science - We will finish up chapter 6 about Earth and Weather with a test on Thursday. Praying that God is continuing to keep your family healthy and safe through this interesting season of life.  It is supposed to be colder this week so PLEASE make sure that your child comes to school with weather appropriate wear to go outside for recess.  For morning recess students may want hats and gloves.   We are leading chapel this week.  Students should have brought home their speaking parts to work on.  They do not need to be memorized.  This chapel will be shown on Facebook Liv...

Praying the class enjoyed their fall party on Friday.  I tried to include some Reformation and Halloween activities. This is a pretty quiet week.  I pray everyone stays healthy and productive. Language Arts - See attached sheet Math - We will review and take our addition test this week.  Then we will start on subtraction.     3rd Grade News October 5 - 9 This Week’s Focus Memory - 7th and 8th Commandments with meanings Religion - This week we cover lessons 8 - 10 over the Bible and being a Christian. Language Arts - See attached sheet Math - We will finish up chapter 7 with a test on Tuesday.  Then we will start ch. 8 over addition. Spelling – Endings; -ed, -ing, -est-er, e Handwriting – We are starting our lowercase cursive letters! Social Studies - We will finish up unit 1, with a test on Monday. Science - We will start on Tuesday with Unit 6 over Earth and Weather. Last week I saw a lot of improvement on working to be quiet, at the beginning of the week.  The last couple of days of the week were LOUD!  The distractions and not paying attention during instruction or directions is starting to show in our work.  Keep working hard to listen carefully and read directions carefully.  This is a great group of kids and I want to see them all be successful!
