This Week’s Focus

Memory – The Seventh Petition of Lord’s Prayer

Religion - Why did Jesus need to be True Man?, How did Jesus serve as our substitute?, How did Jesus redeem us?, and Why is Jesus’ resurrection important?

Language Arts - See handout that is attached.

Math – We will review our multiplication methods and there will be a test on Tuesday.  Then we will start learning our multiplication facts!

Spelling – Suffixes

Handwriting – Capital upper case letters

Social Studies – We will be taking a break from Social Studies until we complete the next Science unit.

Science – We will finish Chapter 7 over our solar system with a test on Friday.

I have never in my 13 years of teaching had such a crazy snow schedule as this year.  All of the tests from last week were postponed until this week. The final prefix spelling test and last week’s L.A. “Friday” Assessment will be on Wednesday.  We will then start our next unit of Spelling (suffixes) and Language Arts. The tests for these new units won’t be until next week.

I will be out of town on Monday and Tuesday for a Literacy Conference.  I look forward to learning some new things to bring back to the classroom.  If you have questions for me over those two days feel free to email me as I will have my laptop with me.
