January 13 - 17

This Week’s Focus

Memory - 2nd Petition of The Lord’s Prayer and Psalm 103:19

Religion - We continue Unit 4 this week about Jesus.

Language Arts - See attached sheet

Math - We will have a test over our three strategies to solve division problems
on Monday.  The rest of the week we will be continuing to learn about division.

Spelling – Week 15: Consonant Patterns

Handwriting – We continue working on our cursive lower case letters.

Social Studies– This week we start Unit 3 over how geography affects the way
we live.

This week starts our two weeks of winter testing.  We will take our aReading
test on Tuesday this week.  Our other two FAST Tests will be next week.

This week we will also start our new behavior reward poster.  Just like before
Christmas, there will be a poster with a reward written on it.  Students will have
many of the same behaviors to work on. As we accomplish those behaviors post
it notes will be removed  to reveal the reward. Once all of the post it notes are
gone we will get to celebrate our accomplishment.

Last thing to note is that because of internet issues we did not get to take our
Spelling test from last week.  Therefore, on Monday we will try again to take the
test on the computer. If the internet is still not working, we will take this test
with paper and pencil.
