3rd Grade News
January 6 - 10

This Week’s Focus
Memory - Introduction and 1st Petition of The Lord’s Prayer
Religion - We start Unit 4 this week about Jesus.
Language Arts - See attached sheet
Math - This week we start learning about division.  Please continue to work
on your multiplication facts at home.
Spelling – Week 14: Suffixes
Handwriting – We continue working on our cursive lower case letters.
Social Studies– This week we start Unit 3 over how geography effects the way
we live.

I pray that you all had a great Christmas break.  It was wonderful to be able to
spend time with my family in Illinois and Iowa.  How very thankful I am for the
gift of that small baby that would grow to save me from my sins.  What a blessing
it is!
We start back in with a full week.  Full because it is a whole week and full
because we are learning lots of new things.  Please remember to work with
your child reading, practicing multiplication facts, memory, and spelling words
each night.  Even short amounts of time working on these things will be a big
help to your child.
In Christ,
Mrs. Hines
