This Week’s Focus

Memory - 2nd Petition of the Lord’s Prayer and Romans 14:17

Religion - This week we move into unit 5 over how God hears and answers His people

Language Arts - See attached sheet

Math - This week we start learning our 3, 4, 6, and 7 multiplication facts.

Spelling – Suffixes

Handwriting – This week we continue learning our capital cursive letters.

Social Studies - We continue in Unit 3 about geography and the way we live.

Our first week back was a little bit crazy.  With one day off and a late start it wasn’t a normal week.  The students were VERY talkative and we struggled to get through all of our material.  I pray that next week will be better with our second week back after break and trying a new whole class management technique.

It is incredibly important that students are practicing their multiplication facts each night.  Multiplication is something that will be a part of their math from now on this year and in the years to come.  Mastering these facts will make future math classes much more manageable.

With this being the last week of the quarter I plan to put all of our work from last week and this week on to the second quarter.  This way you do not have to rush to do corrections before the end of this week.
