3rd Grade News

This Week’s Focus
Memory - Introduction and 1st Petition of the Lord’s Prayer
Religion - This week we continue talking about Jesus
Language Arts - See attached sheet
Math - This week we are reviewing our 0, 1, 2, 5, and 10 facts. We will test over these on Friday.
Spelling – Spellings of /j/, /s/, /k/
Handwriting – This week we get to start learning our capital cursive letters.
Social Studies - We begin Unit 3 about geography and the way we live.
I pray everyone had a restful Christmas break. We are diving right back in with a new reading unit and continuing work on our multiplication facts. It is very important that students be working at memorizing these facts. It will make math easier for them in the future. I sent home flashcards before break for them to use to help them study. They can also get onto Quizlet.com and practice there. Students will be taking multiplication timed tests in order to earn a Multiplication Milkshake Party at the end of the year.
In Christ,
Mrs. Hines
