  3rd Grade News

October 25-29

This Week’s Focus

Memory - 10th Commandment and Meaning

Religion - This week we will cover lessons 22 and 24.

Language Arts - We are finishing up our grammar and comprehension

that was started last week.

Spelling – Compound Words

Handwriting – This week we continue to learn how to write our lower

case letters in cursive.

Math - We will finish up our introduction to multiplication with a test

on Thursday.

Social Studies - This week we finish Unit 2 over finding places in the

United States with a test on Thursday.

We have a fun week ahead of us.  We will continue with the

grammar, comprehension, and spelling that we started last week.

Our test over these things will be on Tuesday.

It is Red Ribbon week, so there are dress up days each day.  I will

try my hardest to remind you the night before what the next day’s

theme is.  Thursday is squad day.  I would like each student to wear

something super hero themed; this should not be a costume and can

just be a t-shirt.  If this won’t work for you please let me know, as I have

some extra super hero shirts around my home.  Please see the

attachment for who is responsible for bringing items for our party on

Friday.  If you would be interested in leading the class in a craft, please

let me know as soon as possible.

In Christ,

Mrs. Hines
