August 28 - September 1

This Week’s Focus

Memory - Books of The Old Testament

Religion - This week we will discuss who God is, how we can know him, and what the Bible is in lessons 1-4.

Language Arts - See attached sheet.

Spelling – Syllables VC/CV

Handwriting – We will start the week by reviewing manuscript handwriting and look at cursive writing starting on Friday.

Math - This week we will work on place value and rounding (with a number line and with place value).

Social Studies - This week we will talk about hemispheres, oceans, continents, and countries.

I hope the students had a good first few days of school.  Our first full week of school is going to be filled with lots of learning.  Students will have PE on Tuesday and Friday, so please make sure they have tennis shoes, especially on those days.  I look forward to seeing just how much these bright third graders can achieve this week!
