3rd Grade News 9-30 to 10-4

3rd Grade News
September 30 - October 4

This Week’s Focus
Memory - 7th and 8th Commandment and their meanings
Religion - We continue talking about the Holy Spirit; how he brings us to
faith, keeps us in faith, and how we are sanctified.
Language Arts - See the attached sheet.
Math – We will finish up addition this week and take a test over addition on
Thursday.  We will then start subtraction on Friday.
Spelling – Week Five Words: vowel diphthongs
Handwriting – We continue lowercase cursive letters this week.
Social Studies– We continue Unit 1 over understanding the geography of the
world.  We will finish up this unit with a test on Friday.

It was a rough week last week with not following directions, being very
talkative, and not following expectations.  It is my hope that this new week
will be better. Please remind your student that is important to listen, follow
along, and to closely follow directions.  The end of the quarter will be here
before we know it. It would be great if all students could participate in the
bounce house and bounce obstacle course for our Cougar Code reward.
I will be sending home a sheet this week with who needs to bring what for
each of our school parties.  If you are interested in doing a craft with the class
for the Fall Party on October 31st please let me know asap.
In Christ,
Mrs. Hines
