September 9 - 13

This Week’s Focus

Memory - 1st and 2nd Commandment

Religion - Why should we study the Bible?, What tools help us study the Bible?,
How do we learn and use God’s word?, and What are the Law and Gospel?

Language Arts - See the attached sheet.

Math – This week we continue learning about rounding and estimating.

Spelling – Week Two Words: plurals -s, -es, -ies

Handwriting – We continue our introduction to cursive writing this week.

Science – We will talk about Landforms, weathering, and erosion this week.

The class is almost half way to their first class reward.  Continue transitioning
quickly and quietly, lining up in a single file quiet line, and not talking in the
hallway!

As homework starts coming home you will notice returned assignments with
a date written on them.  These assignments can be corrected for half credit and
returned by the date. If your child’s graded paper has a smiley face on it, it
means that they can not do corrections.
