3rd Grade News for Oct. 14 - 18

October 14 - 18

This Week’s Focus
Memory - 9th Commandment and meaning
Religion - We are talking this week about Martin Luther and preparing for
our chapel next week.
Language Arts - See attached sheet
Math – This week we will finish up our subtraction lessons.  We will also work
on looking at the relationship between addition and subtraction and problem
solving.  There will be a test on Friday.
Spelling – Week 6 Syllables V/Cv. VC/V
Handwriting – We continue lowercase cursive letters this week.
Science – We will continue to talk about outer space this week.

I hope that the students had a nice break.  I spent those days off at our
Lutheran Education Association conference getting ideas and learning new
things.  It was a great time of learning and fellowship with new and old friends.
I pray that we can all come into this new week refreshed and ready to work hard.
Thank you to those families who I have had parent teacher conferences with.
If you did not get signed up for a conference please contact me and we will get
one schedule.
In Christ,
Mrs. Hines
