February 10 - 14

This Week’s Focus

Memory - 6th Petition of The Lord’s Prayer

Religion - We finish Unit 4 this week about Jesus with a test on Monday. 
We will then begin Unit 5 about God and our prayers.

Language Arts - See attached sheet

Math - We continue in Ch 6 over Area.

Spelling – Week 18: Prefixes

Handwriting – We are now working on our cursive capital letters.

Science– We start chapter 8 over Matter this week.

We have a lot going on this week.  On Friday we will have our 2nd Quarter
Cougar Code reward.  Students are welcome to bring a blanket for this event.
We also have our Valentine’s Party on Friday.  This will be after lunch until our
early dismissal at 1:15. Supplies for the party are as follows: Dean - Snack,
Emme - Snack, Jaden - Drinks & Cups (if needed), Kole - Napkins & Plates. 
If your child would like to bring Valentine’s for their classmates that would be
great, please make sure there are enough for everyone in the classroom, there
are 14 students.

In the graded papers and corrections you will find the math worksheet from
lesson 6.2.  The corrections for this lesson can be done for full credit because
of the fact that I was not there for that lesson.  I tried to make notes on the
homework about what was missing or needed.

With the activities on Friday our regular “Friday” L.A. assessment and
Spelling test will be on Thursday this week.  We will also make Valentine
Boxes on Thursday, so if you have not yet sent in a cereal box with your
student, please do so.
