This Week’s Focus

Memory - 3rd and 4th Commandments and meanings

Religion - This week we will cover lessons 9 and 10

Language Arts - See attached sheet.

Spelling – Vowel Digraphs

Handwriting – This week we continue to learn how to write our lower case letters in cursive.

Math - This week we continue to work on chapter 8 over addition.

Science - This week we will continue in chapter six with a focus on weather, climate, minerals, rocks, and soil.

I have been sad to see the results of several of our tests recently.  I know we could do better if we focused more on instruction time and less on making funny comments and jokes.  I have moved our cards to the front of the room and will be pulling cards for students who are messing around during instruction time.  I have tried asking, waiting, and counting, but we HAVE to be better focused on our studies if we are going to really learn the information.
