This Week’s Focus

Memory - 1st and 2nd Commandments & Meanings

Religion - This week we will discuss why we should study the Bible, tools to help us study the Bible, how we learn and use God’s word, and what the Law and Gospel are in lessons 7-10.

Language Arts - See attached purple sheet.

Spelling – Base Words and Endings

Handwriting – This week we will be practicing one mur cursive handwriting stroke and we will start with cursive lowercase i and t.

Math -This week we will be taking our aMath test, and finishing up Ch 7 with a test on Tuesday.  Depending on how the tests go, we will either review Chapter 7 skills and retaking the test, or start on Chapter 8 over addition.

Social Studies - We will finish up Unit 1 with a review on Monday and Tuesday and a test on Thursday.



This week we have a fun activity to look forward to.  On Friday we will have Johnny Appleseed Day.  The students and I will make homemade applesauce.  A special guest will read a book to us about Johnny Appleseed,  We will learn about apples and do some crafts.  This is an activity I always look forward to doing with the class.

Don’t forget that Tuesday is Picture day and we have an early dismissal on Wednesday.
