This Week’s Focus

Memory - 3rd and 4th Commandments & Meanings

Religion - This week we will discuss the Law and Gospel, the six chief parts of the small catechism, and the first table of the law in lessons 10-12.

Language Arts - See attached purple sheet.

Spelling – Long Vowel Digraphs

Handwriting – We continue learning our lowercase cursive letters with u, w, and e this week.

Math -This week we will start Ch8 over addition and addition properties.

Social Studies - We will do the map portion of our unit 1 test on Monday.

Science - We will start chapter 1 about the scientific method.

In Math, we are starting chapter 8 about addition.  In this chapter, we will discuss many different ways for the students to add.  I do not expect them to master every way that we talk about.  Students will be able to use whichever method they like on the final test.
